Honoring Service: FAUAF Proudly Sponsors the 2026 Spring Soiree & Bipartisan Tribute
On Thursday, April 16, the Friends of the American University of Afghanistan (FAUAF) will be proud sponsors of the 2026 Spring Soirée & Bipartisan Tribute Honoring Those Who Serve. The evening celebrates America’s 250th birthday and recognizes the men and women who have defended this nation across generations.
We are honored to stand alongside veterans, elected officials, nonprofit leaders, and patriots from across the political spectrum for this remarkable event.
FAUAF exists because of a simple but powerful belief: that education is worth fighting for and worth protecting long after the fighting stops.
The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) was founded in 2006, during the reconstruction era that followed the U.S.-led intervention after September 11th. It was built on the premise that a free, rigorous, liberal arts education could take root in one of the world’s most challenging environments. That mission continues today.
The service of American military personnel during that era made the university’s founding possible and fuels our conviction today that education will prevail.
